What happened

A Canadian citizen living in Oakland County on a Green Card says she received a voter registration card twice, despite being ineligible to vote in Michigan. Jacqueline S., who has held a green card since 1993, says she never registered to vote and received the first card about five days after renewing her driver's license at a Secretary of State office in summer 2025, where the clerk was aware she was not a US citizen. The Secretary of State's office said it is looking into the matter.1
