What happened

Cochise County Supervisor Tom Crosby said he intends to certify the results of the November 3 election. The commitment comes four years after he and former Supervisor Peggy Judd refused to certify the 2022 General Election. The Board of Supervisors is seeking answers from Secretary of State Adrian Fontes about why a 10-page section on voting-equipment certification was removed from the Elections Procedures Manual.1

The board is also requesting records on the accreditation of testing laboratories Pro V&V and SLI Compliance, which the U.S. Election Assistance Commission says remained properly accredited despite outdated certificates.1
