What happened

Homeland Security Investigations arrested Paulo Jorge Silva, a Lawful Permanent Resident from Portugal, on October 5 in Philadelphia on charges of voting by an alien in the 2024 election. Voting records show Silva was an active registered voter in Philadelphia and voted in the November 5, 2024 election. Silva was transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service following his arrest.1
