What happened

A federal judge declined to block the Trump administration from threatening state election officials to pressure them into segregating ballots and removing voters from the rolls over noncitizenship allegations. U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ruled Monday that a coalition including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Democratic Governors Association and the Nevada State Democratic Party lacked standing to seek a temporary restraining order. A separate federal judge, U.S. District Judge Trina Thompson, has already barred the administration from such threats in a lawsuit brought by unions representing election officials.1
