What happened

The hotlines were for reports of threats, disruption by paid operatives, or actions that may infringe on voting rights. The hotline numbers were 717-614-4246 for Harrisburg, 570-207-2856 for Scranton, and 570-326-2054 for Williamsport. Federal voting-rights complaints were also accepted at 800-253-3931 or civilrights.justice.gov.1

The DOJ statement directed anyone facing a crime of violence or intimidation to call 911 first, noting state and local police have primary jurisdiction over polling places.1
