What happened

A former Maricopa County recorder urged the U.S. Supreme Court to dismiss the Republican National Committee's challenge to two Arizona voting laws. The former recorder argued the case is an improper vehicle for resolving provisions of the National Voter Registration Act. The former recorder told the justices the cert grant should be dismissed as improvidently granted.1
