Pima County officials said mail ballot delay claims were unfounded
Pima County election officials said claims of mail ballot delays in Southern Arizona were unfounded. The Recorder's Office mailed nearly 480,000 ballots on Oct. 7, and some arrived a day or two late due to the federal holiday on Oct. 12. More than 1,000 voter calls on Oct. 19 came mostly from people who had recently moved, and officials noted election mail cannot be forwarded.1
Voters who have not received a ballot can call 520-724-4330 or check online, with the deadline for a one-time mail ballot request set for Oct. 23.1
