What happened

The Republican Party of Potter County, Texas, and its chair Daniel Rogers filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday seeking to halt certification of upcoming Texas election results. The plaintiffs demand a manual count of every ballot from all polling stations in Texas before federal results are certified. The lawsuit alleges possible election interference through artificial intelligence, malicious actors, and Chinese-made components in voting machines that could allow manipulation.1

The plaintiffs acknowledged that no machines in Potter County or elsewhere in Texas have been confirmed compromised and that no previous county elections were altered by a third party.1
