What happened

A UW-Oshkosh-based cross-partisan group, the Wisconsin Alliance for Civic Trust, said voters from all sides feared possible unrest ahead of the November 3 election. Coordinator Paul Van Auken said the top concern was a federal agent presence at the polls. Other voters worried that contested results could lead to violence, Van Auken said.1

Wisconsin clerks at a Whitburn Center panel warned that voters may not accept results once counted. Professor Michael Ford said clerks urged voters to consult the Wisconsin elections website to understand the process.1
