What happened

A federal judge rejected an emergency request from the NAACP to block the Justice Department from deploying federal law enforcement as poll monitors on Election Day. U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton declined to issue an injunction. The judge ordered the Trump administration to confirm that its 1,000 election monitors across all 50 states are administrative or clerical personnel, are not in uniform or displaying federal agency insignia, are unarmed, and hold no arrest powers.1

The DOJ said in court it had no problem with those restrictions.1
